calista miakoda vintage...

I have been following Caitlin's blog daily dose of dress now since I started blogging. She has amazing style & an amazing etsy shop, but recently she took on a new challenge & opened up a new online boutique - Calista Maikoda Boutique, & created a lovely fall lookbook. I saw her lookbook on her blog & checked out her new shop, & I decided I needed to share the loveliness with my readers!

Caitlin was kind enough to let me post photos from her lookbook (which you can view in it's entirety here) & shop (which you can peek at here), along with a little interview! Be sure to check out the end of the post for a sweet little discount!

What was the inspiration behind your Fall Lookbook?

Honestly, my inspiration for the entire lookbook was from a few vintage pieces that I had fallen in love with. So, I set them aside on a rack and then I developed the entire lookbook around them. I wanted to go with really feminine pieces and incorporate some fall staples in with them.

Tell me about your new shop & what your plans are for it's future...

When I was 18 I opened a store front and had it for a few years but the amount of hours I was working just wasn't realistic, so I closed the store and started selling primarily on Etsy. I have been thinking for a while about launching a site that would be my own. So, after a lot of research and confusion, I finally launched my new website http://calistamiakoda.com on September 23rd!

I have A LOT of work to do over the next couple months, I plan on adding a lot of accessories and more clothing. And I am really excited to start selling vintage items for little girlies!
I'm hoping to start an advertising campaign later this month {after a few more changes/additions to the website} and I can't wait to see what that will bring!
I am hoping to do a lookbook every season because I enjoyed doing this one so much...

What has been the most challenging & the most exciting part of opening up your new shop?

The most challenging part has been trying to figure out which web hosting service to go through and trying to set up a type of lay-out that I like for the site, it's something I'm still working on {and probably will be for a long time!}.
The most exciting part was seeing how the lookbook turned out... I just am so thrilled with all the beautiful ladies I got to work with and I can't wait to see it in actual print {it should be here in the next few days! eek!}.
