This weeks featured seller is Erin from The Solarium on etsy. Her shop is new, which is very exciting, I love new etsy shops...so many possibilities :) She features vintage style jewelry & incorporates unique vintage findings into her pieces.
Read our interview below & check out some of my picks from her new shop thesolarium.
I really enjoy your shop name, it is very unique. How did you come up with it?
I wanted an unusual name that evoked an old-fashioned, secluded & quiet feeling & The Solarium seemed to fit.
You use a lot of vintage materials in your designs, where do you find them?
Usually I do my shopping on Etsy, but there are some good antique stores in my area that have interesting findings, keys & padlocks especially which hopefully I'll be able to use more of in my jewelry soon.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Old illustrations and stories, the minimalist style, ancient cultures, sometimes instrumental music which I'm very fond of. Sometimes I just dump all my materials on the table and mix whatever looks good!
