black on black on stripes...

Since I work for American Apparel, I am required to wear all American Apparel to work. Which is a slight challenge since I can't wear my normal wardrobe everyday, but it does give me an excuse to try new things & go shopping. 

I just got this shawl a few weeks ago & I can tell it is going to be one of my staples this fall season, both at work & outside of work. I like sweaters & shawls that double as blankets...

i'm back.

You may (or more likely may have not) noticed I have been pretty absent on the old blogosphere lately. I don't really have much of an excuse except for I have been in a bit of a creative slump. 

I am trying to get back into the grove of things, & change things up a bit. You may notice that my blog looks a bit different, & I am in the process of working on a new jewelry line. I am really hoping that for reals this time I am back. So hello there again & let's hang out again real soon...

itching for fall...

This has been an abusively hot summer around most of the country. Here in Denver it is the third hottest summer on record. This makes be EXTRA excited for fall, so excited I think I am officially going to consider pre-fall as a season, which I am hoping the weather also decides to signify with some temps NOT in the 90's.

My wish list for fall are seen above. I think the most wanted item would have to be some wide leg 70's style pants. This is probably because I haven't been able to wear pants in month due to the heat.

the weekend.

i haven't blogged in weeks, this i know... but i'm blogging now - we just moved into a lovely new neighborhood & spent the weekend enjoying it -

i do really want to start blogging again, moving has been kind of hectic & i just haven't been in the mood, or had the time - but it's on my mind, so i am going to try to get back into it!

do you ever go through a blogging/creative slump? how to you get back into the swing of things??

hot hot heat...

God it has been HOT here in Denver! I normally love the summers here, but this one is too much of a scorcher for me. I am totally cool with 85 and sunny, but 100+ for days on end? No thank you! Couple that with no AC and it's been a rough one. Not to mention how horrific this weather has been in way of causing so many forest fires...

It really makes me want to just sit in a pool or any body of water all day, eat popsicles and wear as little clothes as possible...
